European Capital Cities and Their Surroundings – Innovativeness Convergence or Divergence?

Tytuł artykułu: Stolice europejskie i ich otoczenie – konwergencja czy dywergencja w zakresie innowacyjności?
W pracy podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy najbliższe otoczenie europejskich stolic nadrabia zaległości w stosunku do poziomu innowacyjności stolic tych krajów. Na podstawie ośmiu charakterystyk ustalono wartość wskaźnika agregatowego innowacyjności dla regionów UE szczebla NUTS 2. Na tle zmian wartości wskaźnika innowacyjności w europejskiej przestrzeni regionalnej oceniono efekty wpływu stolicy na najbliższe otoczenie, w kontekście trendów obserwowanych pod względem innowacyjności. Analizie poddano kraje, w których stolica jest jednocześnie regionem szczebla NUTS 2. Wskazano zmienne decydujące o różnicach wskaźnika występujących pomiędzy stolicą a otoczeniem.
